Simple And Effective Ways To A Healthy And Beautiful Body

Being beautiful is a piece of work. But it is a rewarding way to love yourself. Beauty of course is not just based on your physical appearance but as cliché as it is, real beauty comes from within. Here are some tips you can follow to achieve a healthy body and exude the beauty you have been dreaming of both inside and out.

Get Enough Sleep

Getting a good night sleep is one of the most effective way to de-stress yourself and let your body recover its lost energy. Studies also show that a good sleep can help you maintain a healthy weight because lack of sleep may result to a slower metabolism. Moreover, one who doesn’t get enough sleep will be irritable. Wrinkles will appear earlier if one is always under stress. Some studies also say that putting the lights out during sleep will help brighten the skin. Even fluorescent lights or lamps emit UV radiation which may damage the skin and promote a faster aging process causing wrinkles. This may also be due to the fact that we usually don’t wear sunblock when sleeping. Putting on additional products aside from your basic moisturizer when going to bed is not really recommended as you won’t allow your skin to breath. Bottom line is, sleep will de-stress your body as well as your skin from all the pollutants and detrimental effects of things around us. So with a good night sleep, you will feel better, relaxed and ready to start your day, with a brighter skin and without dark circles under your beautiful eyes!

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

Our body is composed of 60-70% water. Water is essential to the bodily functions. It helps clear out the unnecessary by-products that our body produces. The average individual needs to drink 8 to 12 glasses of water per day. However, there are other factors that may affect one’s water balance and you need to consult your doctor if you have illnesses that may be affected with too much water intake. Everything in excess is bad and this is true with water intake. There are people who drink excess amounts of water because of their belief in the healthy and beneficial effects of water. This is already abnormal and is not recommended. A good amount of hydration is based on your body’s metabolism and the situation. In a hot climate, one might need more water to replenish the body’s water loss due to the heat. Signs of excess water intake include swelling of the feet, feeling of drowning when on flat position, easy fatigue, and others. If you note these symptoms, you need to consult your doctor for more advice. On the other hand, in a normal adult, 8-12 glasses of water per day is fairly adequate.

The skin and hair are also good gauges of how hydrated you are. When you are dehydrated, your skin and hair may be dry. On the other hand, when you are well hydrated, your skin will be supple and your hair will look healthier. A state of good hydration should be considered as basic in order to obtain healthy skin and hair.

Eat a balanced and healthy diet

It is often said that we are what we eat. Nutritious food is essential for a healthy body that shows inside and out. Aside from getting good hydration, choosing the right food and maintaining a healthy weight will not only result to a sexy body but also beautiful skin and hair.

Low fat dairy products are rich in calcium, vitamin D and vitamin A. Calcium and vitamin D are essential for good bone health and skin. Studies show that vitamin D deficiency makes one prone to have rashes and hypersensitivity reactions among others. Vitamin A on the other hand is also a good vitamin for a healthy skin.
