Pioneering graduate of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in the Philippines and a founding member of the Philippine Society for Urogynecology and Reconstructive Surgery; holds an academic and clinical positions in various government, medical and private institutions related to OBGYN and/or Urogynecology. Urogynecology deals with problems related to the ageing female pelvic floor: pelvic organ prolapse (“buwa”), urinary incontinence, obstetric anal sphincter injuries, genitourinary fistulas, benign growths in the genitourinary tract (i.e. urethral diverticulum) , abnormal placentation (placenta accreta with bladder involvement), difficult pelvic surgeries.
