I have been practicing Orthopedic Surgery specializing in Orthopedic Traumatology since 2000. I graduated from the UP College of Medicine in 1991, then took my Orthopedic residency training at the Philippine General Hospital from 1992-1995. After Orthopedic residency, I took several fellowships namely: Pediatric Orthopedic at Children’s Hospital in Michigan, USA (1998), Kuntscher Orthopedic Traumatology at the University of Louisville, USA (1998-1999), and Adult Reconstruction also at the University of Louisville, USA (2000). Since 2002, I am a faculty of the UP College of Medicine and a consultant of the Department of Orthopedics at PGH. I specialize and mainly practice Orthopedic Traumatology which handles complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities including pelvic injuries.
Dr. Avegail Matematico Cardinal finished her degree in Medicine at Saint Louis University. She finished her internship at Manila Doctors Hospital then had her training in pediatrics at The Medical City . She’s a full Diplomate of the Philippine Pediatric Society.
