Urogynecology deals with problems related to the ageing female pelvic floor: pelvic organ prolapse (“buwa”), urinary incontinence, obstetric anal sphincter injuries, genitourinary fistulas, benign growths in the genitourinary tract (i.e. urethral diverticulum) , abnormal placentation (placenta accreta with bladder involvement), difficult pelvic surgeries.
